Welcome to the iOS Hot List: Bits ?n? Bytes Gaming?s weekly segment where we look at some of the best, worst, and importantly, most popular iOS games of the last week to tell you whether it?s worth downloading, buying, or taking your time to play. Let?s crack on.

Assassin?s Creed Rearmed (Free, Ubisoft) Universal

To tie in with the recent release of Assassin?s Creed Revelations, Ubisoft have released a multiplayer-only title specifically on iOS. Assassin?s Creed Rearmed is a simplified, but equally fun version of the multiplayer that Assassin?s Creed fans will be familiar with. You?re given a target, and in a birds-eye-view 3D world, you have to go and kill them. If I may be so bold, I have to say I actually enjoyed this version of the multiplayer more than console versions ? it?s more straightforward, making it more satisfying when you get your kill. While the graphics are nothing to phone home about, playing Assassin?s Creed Rearmed is good fun.

Assassin's Creed Rearmed's maps are diverse and exciting, despite the aerial view.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (Free, Capcom) Universal

Nintendo fans will probably remember this title from 2010, originally released on the Nintendo DS. Ghost Trick puts you in control of the soul of one unfortunate fellow, who has to learn, with some help from other souls, how to prevent an ongoing stream of murders from beyond the grave. Similar to the original DS version, the touch screen controls really come in handy, and make the game a whole lot of fun. With enough puzzles to keep players happy, and a lot of death-based humour, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is only let down by its graphics, which don?t seem to have come far from the DS. The game remains entertaining and fun, however, and so is definitely worth a download. The first two chapters come free with the game, with subsequent chapters being released in the future for ?2.99 per pack.

Order Up!! To Go (Free, Chillingo) Universal

Work your way up from poor to perfect. And maybe pick up some culinary tips on the way...

I?ve worked in a kitchen before, and I have to say, Order Up!! To Go seems like a much less hostile work environment. As a chef, deployed from an aeroplane, you have to find employment by cooking your way around town. With the touchscreen controls, the game is reminiscent of Cooking Mama, but it still has a lot of charm ? funny characters and art style, and obviously a humourous take on fast food restaurants. This is a great free game from Chillingo that really satisfies.

Reckless Getaway (?0.69/$0.99) Ploarbit

And they thought robbing the bank was the fun part? Make your escape, however you can, from a daring bank robbery. Reckless Getaway is pure fun, with a cool cartoon art style and awesome level design. As you dash through the streets, you can pick up coins, powerups and points for destroying other cars. While it isn?t completely clear which cars you gain points for destroying and which cars you lose points for destroying, it doesn?t matter too much to the fun that is offered by this high octane racer. For a small price, Reckless Getaway is well worth a download.

Check back next Thursday as we play some more of the best and worst iOS games of the week.
